Phil Garber

Phil joined MaRS for the summer of 2017 as part of his MBA at the Schulich School of Business. At MaRS, he supported the Finance & Commerce team by researching themes like open banking, co-organizing events such as the Fintech Canada Conference and performing other functions as needed.
Prior to starting his MBA, Phil was a crew leader with the BC Wildfire Service, an intern with Accenture Strategy, worked in a clean energy startup and as an environmental consultant. Phil holds a BSc in ecology from UBC, which involved extensive research on energy policy and urban wildlife management.
