Martin Sumner-Smith

Martin Sumner-Smith, PhD, was a senior advisor with MaRS Health Venture Services. Originally trained as a molecular biologist, he worked in the biotechnology industry, and later in bioinformatics and enterprise software, holding research management, marketing, communications, public relations, business development and licensing roles. As an entrepreneur, Martin has founded several startup companies.
He brings a biological scientist’s perspective to the analysis of the complex value networks that operate within and between organizations, and that increasingly depend on digital media and other emerging technologies.
