Janice Rudkowski
Janice is a facilitator with MaRS’ Entrepreneurship Programs. She has led the MarCom Toolkit and B2B Sales Process workshops since 2013 to hundreds of entrepreneurs across Ontario. She brings high energy, emphasizes practical application of concepts and leverages her vast marketing knowledge and experience in every workshop.
She is a marketing consultant, researcher and university lecturer with 20 years of B2B and B2C marketing and brand management experience at Unilever, Mattel, Bayer, Career Edge Organization and Ryerson University. Janice’s industry experience spans fashion, consumer packaged goods, retail, healthcare, technology, non-profit and employment services.
As the Principal and Owner of Helianthus Consulting, she collaborates with clients to uncover brand insights from a variety of internal and external stakeholder perspectives including consumers, suppliers and employees. She leverages these unique brand insights to inform and develop marketing strategies and brand messaging across digital and non-digital media channels. She also specializes in building brands from the initial concept phase through to market launch.
As a researcher, Janice is currently developing a quantitative model to determine the factors that contribute to retailer brand equity, and understand what motivates consumers to seek front-line employment with their favourite retailer brands.
Janice has a Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) from Ryerson University’s School of Fashion, an MBA in Marketing from York University’s Schulich School of Business and is currently working towards a Master of Science in Business Management Research (MSc BMR) and Doctor of Business Management (DBA) from University of Reading’s Henley Business School in the United Kingdom.
