Idil Burale

Idil Burale is a Senior Associate for the MaRS Solutions Lab. Idil supports the programs and initiatives, primarily in the domain of Public Sector Innovation, helping to redesign public service and the policy-making process.
Idil brings a critical and intersectional lens to the work of the lab by carefully evaluating how individuals, groups, and institutions understand and resolve complex issues. A graduate of the University of Toronto, with a degree in Political Science. A passionate city builder, capable of effectively articulating community concerns in a way that can turn insights into actionable recommendations, she has been a key strategic advisor on Toronto Police Modernization Task Force, Toronto District School Board Success of Students of Somali Descent Task Force, and City of Toronto Poverty Reduction Strategy.
