Fernando Escalera

Fernando Escalera is an entrepreneur with experience in growing new and established products as well as in digital marketing, go-to-market strategy, analytics and finance. He currently works at Shopify with a goal to make commerce better for everyone.

Previously, Fernando co-founded one of the top e-flower shops in Mexico City, led growth for an interactive storytelling app and led acquisitions of small- and medium-sized businesses at Google Canada and Google Mexico.

He holds an MBA from Duke University and bachelor degrees in two different fields: engineering and finance. Fernando has studied at six universities in various countries and is constantly learning something new—right now it is web development and SQL.
